“Chrysler's Turbine Car: The Rise and Fall of Detroit's Coolest Creation”

Being a girl from Metro Detroit, I jumped on the chance to review “Chrysler's Turbine Car: The Rise and Fall of Detroit's Coolest Creation” by Steve Lehto and forward written by Jay Leno. This book gives you a first hand account of the creating, marketing and killing of the Chrysler turbine engine car.

In this day and age when everyone is talking about our oil consumption, this book gives a glimpse into what our car companies are capable of. Chrysler developed a nice looking car that ran on any flammable liquid, including alcohol or perfume! Two years after the launch of this breakthrough automobile, they crushed and burned almost all of them that existed. Lehto begins to get to the bottom of the many unanswered questions about the history of the Turbine Car.
If you have a book enthusiast on your gift list, or a car enthusiast for that matter, this is a great buy! It can be found on Amazon.com.
